8 Leadership Team Foundations to Thrive in Today’s Dynamic World15th May 2015

Details

This event, held at the Time Inc. offices at the Blue Fin Building in London, was designed to enable senior leaders to gain clarity about the leadership challenges they face and to explore the 8 Foundations we believe are required to provide organisational leadership that effectively sustains business competitiveness.

Our research this year has focused on the challenges faced by CEOs and Leadership Teams to enable their businesses to perform, given the increasing pace and scale of change. Our recently published report revealed that 77% of senior managers are not confident that there is a leadership team in place and/or working effectively to deliver strategic change and 85% of senior managers are not confident that they are executing strategy effectively.

Agenda & Speakers

Our guest speaker was Fiona Dent, Managing Director of Time Inc. UK’s (formerly IPC Media) brands in the lifestyle sector which include some of the most famous media brands in the UK, including Now, Chat, Woman’s Weekly, What’s on TV and TV Times and homes portfolio, which includes Ideal Home, Living and Style At Home.

Fiona joined IPC Media in 1992, and has held a number of senior marketing and publishing roles. From 2003 to 2006, she was publishing director of Country Life and Horse & Hound. In January 2006, Fiona was appointed publishing director of Wallpaper, the internationally-renowned design, interiors and lifestyle magazine, where she led the brand to a record performance during its 10th Anniversary year, and developed the highly successful wallpaper.com.

Fiona was promoted to the board in May 2007, as managing director of IPC TX, IPC’s market-leading TV weeklies group, and was named managing director of IPC Connect, IPC’s mass market women’s division, in February 2009.  In January 2010, IPC Media restructured, with Fiona taking responsibility for an expanded Connect portfolio, including the TV weeklies brands.
